Before we reached the altar, my three-year-old grandson squeezed my hand and whispered, “Grandpa, she was mean to Mommy.” Then he pointed toward my future wife and pulled a USB drive from his tiny pocket—one that would soon reveal the truth she had been hiding.

Police arrived twelve minutes later.

Two officers.

Then a detective.

Detective Maria Salcedo.

She listened.

Asked for the USB.

I hesitated.

Then handed it over after they documented possession.

Gabriel, my attorney, arrived almost simultaneously.

He walked into the room.

Saw Lucas.

Saw police.

Then looked at me.

“What did she do?”

I answered.

“Enough.”
