“Dad, do you even understand what you’re saying?” the girl whispered.
But her father was already begging Victor to agree.
The strangest thing happened a few seconds later. The billionaire stared at Sofia for a long time and then calmly replied:
“Fine.
But only if she agrees herself.”
Sofia could have refused. However, if she did, her father would lose the house and would most likely end up in prison because of other schemes the family had only recently discovered.
The girl agreed, even though she found it difficult to even be around her future husband.
Hundreds of guests attended the wedding. Sofia looked stunning in her white dress, while Victor sat beside her. His enormous stomach barely fit beneath his jacket, his face was glistening with sweat, and an assistant was constantly nearby with his wheelchair.
