I gave up 22 years of my life raising my triplet nieces — what they did at their college graduation made me drop to my knees.

I remember thinking, vaguely, that it was probably a student speaker, some class valedictorian moment I’d missed the announcement for.

Instead, all three of my girls walked back out onto that stage together, side by side, the way they used to walk into kindergarten holding hands even after their teacher told them they were old enough to let go.
