A WOMAN HUMILIATED MY 83-YEAR-OLD MOM IN FRONT OF AN ENTIRE CHECKOUT LINE

My name is Diane, and that Saturday, the store in our town of Cedar Hollow was packed.

Mom had only six items, but when it was her turn to pay, she struggled to find her wallet.

The woman behind us sighed loudly. “Oh, come on.”

Mom apologized. Her hands were trembling.

The woman pushed her overflowing cart forward. “If you’re too old to handle shopping, maybe stay home.”

People turned to look.

“Excuse me?” I said.

She rolled her eyes. “I’m saying what everyone here is thinking.”

Mom finally found her wallet.
