Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience released their first album in 2026 with guest appearances by Keb’ Mo’, Shemekia Copeland, Anthony “Big A” Sherrod, the Chineke! Orchestra, Lady Adrena and others. The first single from the album, “Death Letter Blues,” featured Grammy-winner Taj Mahal.[207]

Marriage and family
Freeman was married to Jeanette Adair Bradshaw from October 22, 1967, until November 18, 1979.[208] He married Myrna Colley-Lee on June 16, 1984,[208] the couple separated in December 2007[209] and divorced on September 15, 2010.[209] Freeman has four children: Alfonso, Deena, Morgana, and Saifoulaye.[210] Freeman and Colley-Lee also raised Freeman’s step-granddaughter from his first marriage, E’dena Hines. On August 16, 2015, 33-year-old Hines was murdered in New York City.[211]
